icon4 Biogas recycle and reuse: In 2013, Erlin Mill established biogas recovery system and used biogas for power generation. This measure can reduce GHG emission and energy consumption. In 2021, average coal consumption of 16,000 kg can be reduced per day, equivalent to CO2 reduction of 14,073 tons CO2e/year.
icon4 Environment protection and waste reduction: In 2013, Erlin Mill established anaerobic treatment equipment, which can reduce sludge volume of 60%. In 2014, the Company has made a breakthrough on the technique and become the first plant in Taiwan to recycle and reuse waste water and biological sludge. In 2019, the Company redesigned waste water treatment system and introduced advanced equipment for upgrade and renovation. 50% of the energy was conserved per day.
icon4 Cost reduction and water resource conservation: With the waste water treatment technique, 50% of the amount of water use for papermaking can be reduced.
