  Low Carbon Papermaking  
    In terms of water resource management, in addition to reducing water consumption, Longchen P&P’s biggest feature during its production process is the water resource circulation system of high circulation use efficiency. Taking Erlin Mill for example, the amount of water recycled in 2022 was 63,618 thousand tons; the amount of water collected was 4,607 thousand tons; overall amount of water consumed was 68,226 thousand tons. Over 93.25% of the total water use volume in the mill comes from recycling and reusing. The amount of recycled water consumed during production process was 13.81 times of the amount of water consumed. In addition, for each ton of paper, the amount of water consumed was below 4 tons, continue to maintain an efficient water resource utilization rate.

  Eco Packaging  
    In the management of water resource at the carton plants, by improving the process and recycling and treatment of printing waste water for use in making paste (around 528 tons of water may be reduced each day on average for each plant), showing the efforts and accomplishments of the Company in persistent optimization of water-saving production. In 2022, the total water intake of paper box factories in Taiwan was 49.34 thousand metric tons, with a recycled water volume of 4.64 thousand metric tons. The overall water consumption amounted to 53.98 thousand metric tons, representing an increase from 43.44 thousand metric tons in 2021. This increase was mainly due to the construction-related water usage during the facility renovation at the Nankan, Shengang, and Lu-Chu plants. Approximately 8.59% of the total water consumption within the factories came from recycled water reuse.
