    In terms of water resource management, in addition to reducing water consumption, Longchen P&P’s biggest feature during its production process is the water resource circulation system of high circulation use efficiency. Taking Erlin Mill for example, the amount of water recycled in 2020 was 44,891 thousand tons; the amount of water collected was 3,358 thousand tons; overall amount of water consumed was 48,249 thousand tons. Over 92% of the total water use volume in the mill comes from recycling and reusing. The amount of recycled water consumed during production process was 13 times of the amount of water consumed. In addition, for each ton of paper, the amount of water consumed was below 4 tons, continue to maintain an efficient water resource utilization rate.

  Eco Packaging  
    In the management of water resource at the carton plants, by improving the process and recycling and treatment of printing waste water for use in making paste, around 6 tons of water may be reduced each day on average for each plant. From the historical data of each factory, we can see that by increasing the use of recycled water, both the overall water consumption and unit production amount of water collected at carton plants appeared to be declining each year from 2016 to 2020, showing the efforts and accomplishments of the Company in persistent optimization of water-saving production. In 2020, for example, the amount of water collected throughout carton plants in Taiwan totaled 41.6 thousand tons; the amount of water recycled was 8.3 thousand tons; the overall water consumption came to 49.9 thousand tons and among the overall water consumption in each plant, 16.65% was recycled and reused.
